AM95 OG NEON FEAT. FACULTY F.C
On Monday, 16 March 2026, Lemkus welcomes the return of one of Nike’s most legendary silhouettes: the Air Max 95 OG Neon.

First released in 1995, the Air Max 95 pushed the boundaries of sneaker design and quickly became a defining sneaker of its era. Thirty years later, Nike celebrates the silhouette’s anniversary with a premium reissue that stays true to the original blueprint while honouring the innovation that made it iconic.

Designed by Sergio Lozano, the Air Max 95 was inspired by the human body. The greyscale suede gradient represents muscle fibres, while the lace loops reference the rib cage and the midsole reflects the spine. The OG Neon colourway remains the most recognisable version of the silhouette, with vibrant neon accents appearing across the lace loops, branding and Air units. This 2025/2026 edition also features the “Big Bubble,” an enlarged Max Air unit in the heel that more closely recreates the proportions of the original 1995 prototype. Visible cushioning in the heel and forefoot combines performance comfort with the unmistakable flowing design of the wavy side panels.

Beyond its technical innovation, the Air Max 95 also developed a strong connection to football culture in the late ’90s and early 2000s, worn off the pitch by icons such as Ronaldo Nazário and Ronaldinho during a golden era of Nike football.

That crossover between sport, style and personality helped cement the Air Max 95 as more than just a running shoe.

To celebrate the release, Lemkus has partnered with Faculty FC, a Cape Town-based football content collective made up of friends who share a passion for the game.

Through their Instagram, TikTok and YouTube platforms, they create entertaining football content featuring trick shots, technical challenges and guest appearances from professional players such as Kegan Johannes and Jody February from Mamelodi Sundowns FC, as well as Aden McCarthy from Kaizer Chiefs. The group also regularly plays FIFA amongst themselves, reflecting the natural connection between football culture on the pitch and in gaming.

The return of the Air Max 95 OG Neon celebrates thirty years of one of Nike’s most influential designs — a sneaker that continues to bridge sport, culture and style. The release will be available in-store at Lemkus on Monday, 16 March 2026. Any remaining pairs will release online thereafter.
