Puma x Salehe Bembury Velum 2
Salehe Bembury is back with Puma for round two. The Velum 2 lands online and in-store at Lemkus this Friday, 4 September 2026, in two colourways: Alloy (silver) and Terracotta.
The first Velum introduced Bembury's now-signature fingerprint motif to Puma's running silhouette, and the Velum 2 keeps that language untouched. The sole unit still carries his fingerprint texture fading into accordion-style grooves toward the toe, all sitting on Puma's NITROFOAM cushioning — a nitrogen-infused foam built for lightweight comfort underfoot.
Where the Velum 2 moves on is up top. The original's branching overlays make way for a more open, layered construction: amorphous panels over translucent mesh, giving the shoe a more aggressive, sculpted look than its predecessor. As Bembury puts it, "With Velum 2, the opportunity was to evolve the upper while maintaining the tooling and visual DNA established by the original."
The fingerprint detailing carries through the small touches too. It replaces Puma's usual wordmark on the tongue head and lateral heel, while Bembury's name is printed discreetly on the outsole — a quieter signature than the branding-heavy uppers sneakerheads are used to from collabs like this.
Alloy goes for a chrome-toned silver upper set against a soft yellow platform sole — a chunky, high-contrast pairing that leans into the shoe's more technical, futuristic side.
Terracotta takes the monochromatic route, wrapping the layered upper and sole unit in a single warm orange tone for a more grounded, earthy finish that still lets the fingerprint texture and paneling do the talking.
Both pairs come housed in a limited-edition co-branded box featuring a blue-and-orange fingerprint print, continuing the packaging detail Bembury has made a hallmark of his Puma releases.
The Puma x Salehe Bembury Velum 2 releases in Alloy and Terracotta on Friday, 4 September 2026, both online at Lemkus and in-store.
